5 Top Fashion Trends for Spring 2023 - The Trends You Need In Your Closet Now

If you had the chance to look at our most recent Spring 2023 Inclusive Fashion Trends Report, you know that this spring’s fashion is anything but basic!

Spring is one of my favorite times to clean out my closet and start fresh as it’s the start of a new season for warmer weather. My top 5 fashion trends for spring consist of things that I know will transition easily from winter to my spring wardrobe, as well as continue to last me through the summer months into fall.

Here are my 5 favorite fashion trends for spring 2023 that you need in your closet now.

Maxi Skirts

I never thought I’d see these come back in but they are! Embracing this comeback 70’s trend is incredibly fun this year because maxi skirts are one of the easiest fashion items to transition all year long.

Bodysuits

I personally can’t live without a good bodysuit! Not only are they flattering but there are so many different styles of bodysuits out there that can work for going out to a happy hour, or even wearing all day while working from home.

Flats and Sandals

I have to admit, as someone who’s 6’2 it’s been a hard time trying to stay on trend with recent years' shoe trends. Platform sandals, platform boots, tall block heels - they all gave me trouble not just trying to find my size, but also trying to make them feel wearable on a daily basis.

I’m so happy flats are in this year because they are comfortable, easy to slip on, and also incredibly easy to transition from day to night. So if any of my fellow tall girls are reading this, it’s our time to embrace the flats trend and feel good about it without the fear of towering over our friends and partners if that’s an insecurity of yours.

Denim

Let’s be honest… when is denim NOT on trend these days? One constant we’ve seen all through the past few years is that denim is always evolving and there’s always a new style that is in. While this season's trend is focused on re-imagined ways of wearing denim, we can also be a little creative with even our most basic denim styles. Also, all washes of denim are in, including deep blue, light wash as well as washed black styles.

Simple Jewelry

Statement jewelry is something we’re seeing all over right now. However, if you’re like me, one of my favorite ways to wear jewelry is a lot of minimal pieces, to make a big statement. One big style trend this year is ’90s minimalism, so I like stacking a lot of minimal pieces on top of each other is my favorite way to turn minimalism into a statement.
