Trend: Crop Tops

Anti-Trend: Full-Length Tanks

One of the trend swaps I’m sure many of us can agree with! I don’t know about you, but I’m leaning towards comfort most of these days and often crop tops just don’t do it for me. Leaning into full-length tanks gives more comfort, coverage, and in some cases can feel classier as well.

Trend: Mini bags

Anti Trend: Totes

Again, love my mini bags! But instead of everyday fashion wear, I’m saving these more for nights out. I’m SO happy totes are coming back in as these are much more practical and also stylish for everyday wear now.

Trend: Denim skirts

Anti Trend: Maxi skirts

Don’t worry my denim skirts will be back in the fall as I’ve fallen in love with the denim maxi skirt trend! However, for the summer season, it gets incredibly hot here and humid here in Texas (where are my Houston ladies!). So denim doesn’t quite do it for me like airy linen or cotton skirts do in the summer

Abercrombie & Fitch

Princess Polly

Reformation

Layla Silk Skirt

$198

*comes in 8 colors

Trend: Cargo jeans

Anti Trend: Utility clothing

Yes, I know cargo pants ARE a type of utility clothing, but I’m thinking out of the box here. Most of my cargo pants are pretty heavy at the moment, so I’m still keeping the cargo look, but in things like skirts, dresses, jumpsuits, etc. to switch it up for the summer in ways I can’t in the colder months. Cargo’s are here to stay my friends!

Trend: Bold Colors

Anti Trend: Neutral mix-and-matchables

Ok, we’re getting controversial here! Don’t get me wrong, bold colors are super in right now and there are a ton I’m in love with like oranges, lavender, and royal blue. However… I’m working on a true investment wardrobe; neutrals are easier to mix and match among my entire wardrobe and across seasons. So, bye bye bright colors (for now)

Trend: Platform sandals

Anti Trend: Simple, strappy sandals

Platforms are still pretty sexy, however, you can never go wrong with a simple strappy sandal in your wardrobe. If you’re still looking for a little height in your shoe, there are tons of comfortable low-heel sandal options for this as well.
